"Paper Tiger"

Despite these attacks and setbacks suffered by the military, police and civilians in Colombia, the Colombian vice president FARC announced in 2008 that amounted to little more than a "paper tiger".

This statement was prompted by the Colombian government's successful attempts to reduce the numbers of members of FARC, and their income. These developments should hopefully reduce or even eliminate completely the addition of new attacks that could be included in the list of acts of terrorist acts by FARC.
